42 Altersklassen-Athlet*innen kämpfen um Cross-Medaillen

42 Altersklassen-Athlet*innen vertreten die Deutsche Triathlon Union (DTU) am Sonntag (26. September) bei den Europameisterschaften im Crosstriathlon und Crossduathlon im italienischen Molveno.
22 deutsche Athlet*innen starten im Crosstriathlon, neun im Crossduathlon. Elf Sportler*innen haben für einen Doppelstart in beiden Disziplinen gemeldet.
Die kontinentalen Titelkämpfe im Crosstriathlon und - duathlon fanden 2019 im Rahmen der Multisport-EM im rumänischen Targu Mures statt. Deutschland gewann im Crosstriathlon acht Medaillen, darunter zwei Mal Gold, und zehn Mal Edelmetall (vier Mal Gold) im Crossduathlon. Mit Steffen-Luis Neuendorff, Jörg Dani, Angela Boczek und Lars Holder sind vier deutsche Titelverteidiger wieder am Start.
Bei den Junioren startet im Crosstriathlon Jan Diener.
